Dr. Andrea Persaud is a BOARD CERTIFIED DERMATOLOGIST and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, who practices both medical and cosmetic dermatology in New York City.
Dr. Persaud is Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York University. She received her MD degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and completed her medical internship at NYU/Bellevue Hospital of New York University.
Dr. Persaud has extensive research experience in dermatopharmacology, conducting
over 100 clinical trials. Dr. Persaud holds several fellowships in
dermatopharmacology in the Department of Dermatology at the Mount Sinai
School of Medicine and Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology,
New York University School of Medicine. One of her widely recognized
work on treating pre-cancerous skin lesions (actinic keratoses) with
a topical immunomodulator (imiquimod cream) was approved by the
FDA.

Dr. Persaud has spoken at conferences nationally and internationally,
and is often quoted in the media and newsletters about her work on
treating pre-cancerous skin lesions with a topical immunomodulator
cream. Widely published in many medical journals, Dr. Persaud has also
published and presented more than 30 clinical research and case report
abstracts at various medical conferences and in journals. She has also
written a book chapter on psoriasis. She regularly attends American
Academy of Dermatology conferences and other dermatology meetings, and
serves as a reviewer for various dermatological journals and books.
Dr. Persaud is an active member of the National Psoriasis Foundation.
Dr. Persaud is also co-founder of Yauvan Professional Skin Care and serves
as the Vice-President of Yauvan Corporation.
